Entitled " Art, Dialogue & Outrage "

Accused of conspiracy for attempting to broker peace in the Nigerian Civil War(1967 - 70), Akinwande Oluwole "Wole" Soyinka has remained active in the decades since his release from prison as a critic of international political corruption and brutality. In 2010 he founded the Democratic Front for a People's Federation, a party to oppose corruption and apathy. Professor Soyinka's drama draws on the mythology of the Yoruba and traditional popular African theater as well as classical and modern Western influences.
